Australia has something for everyone – from bustling cities to remote wilderness areas with untouched natural beauty.
Despite being over 17,000kms from London, all the way on the other side of the world, we guarantee that the long flight to our beautiful country is worth it.
Australia is best known for its beaches, wildlife and relaxed lifestyle. So many beaches, in fact, that it would take you 27 years to visit each one.
Our wildlife is so unique, over 80% of which cannot be found anywhere in the world and our city and cultural centres will keep the less adventurous well satisfied.
When is the best time to visit Australia?
Timing your trip to Australia depends on what activities to plan and locations you wish to explore.
The seasons are the opposite to the northern hemisphere. So we enjoy our Summer from December to February, Autumn from March to May, Winter from June to August and Spring from September to November.
Our Northern states experience a wet and dry season. So if you’re wishing to explore the red centre and you’re not a fan of high humidity and significant amounts of rain – avoid the region between November and April.
The southern states can get quite cold in Winter, but are enjoyable throughout the year.
Your team at Airly have curated three different experiences to explore the best of the ‘Land Down Under’ curated with the theme of ocean, desert and food and wine.
Ocean Oasis
Best experienced between May through November
Day One Your experience begins with a private flight from Sydney to Ballina / Byron Bay. Byron Bay is a popular coastal location due to it’s world renowned beaches, unique shopping experiences and vibrant community spirit.
There’s many things to do at Byron including the light house walk, taking in the most easterly point of Australia, grab a treatment or explore the town centre.
For dinner and accommodation we recommend Rae’s on Wategos for a truely unique dining experience and luxurious room options (from $1,800 AUD per night).

Day Two Today we take a private flight from Byron Bay to Hamilton Island, the southern gateway to the iconic Great Barrier Reef.
We recommend staying at Qualia located on the main Island (two nights in their Windward Pavilion starts from $5,500 AUD). What you do during the day is entirely up to you.
Charter a yacht and visit the smaller surrounding islands taking in the natural beauty of the Whitsundays. Take in some Vitamin D and swim on secluded beaches, or perhaps head under water and explore the live reef in all its beauty.
Hamilton Island has over 60 activities to choose from. So if yacht’s aren’t to your liking head you can tee off on Hamilton Island’s very own 18 hole golf course. Hit the day spas or simply take in the sights and sounds of the main Island.

Day four AM We now jet off to Cairns located in Far North Queensland which continues on the Great Barrier Reef theme.
Upon arrival you’ll be whisked via chauffeur to Port Douglas for a night.
Again the activities you wish to do are entirely to your choosing. Continue to explore the reef systems.
We recommend the Sheraton Grand Mirage at Port Douglas which is from $600 AUD for one night.

Day five PM After a busy two days in Port Douglas, we’ll hit the road again and be wheels up for the final stop of this tour – The Gold Coast.
Best known for it’s theme parks, Casino and beaches the Gold Coast makes the perfect setting to wrap up what has been an incredible journey. We recommend The Darling at Star. Their Steller King Suite is from $1,000 AUD per night.

Red Desert

Day one The first day on the Red Desert journey is to a town called Broken Hill. Broken Hill is one of the most famous outback towns with a rich history in mining and arts. Take a drive out to the Living Desert Sculptures to get your first taste of the outback landscape.
Before lunch we’ll head to the airport and depart for Coober Pedy.
Coober Pedy is the Opal capital of the world. We’ll take a quick tour of the nearby Opal mines, grab lunch then set course on board your Citation Mustang jet to Uluru (Ayres Rock).

We’ll stay at Peppers Cradle Mountain for the night but the day is yours to explore the tracks around Dove Lake or enter the Cradle underworld on a canyoning tour.

Day four sees us driving back to Devonport and flying down to the capital of Tasmania, Hobart.
Hobart is best known for the Museum of New and Old Art (MONA), Salamanca Markets and Mount Wellington which is easily accessible from the city.
For the night we recommend MACq 01 Hotel which starts from $450 AUD per night.
